St. Francis School has an outstanding faculty and staff; five members of the faculty hold Master's degrees.
holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching Early and Elementary Education from the University of Portland. She has served at Christ the King, Holy Family, St. Cecelia, and Madeleine - all in the Portland Archdiocese. She is a long time volunteer at All Saints Parish serving as a Preschool Religious Ed teacher. She holds a current State of Oregon teaching license.
Mrs. Erwert joins us on staff for the first time this year. She is a welcome addition to our staff.
holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Her previous assignment was at the Sierra Madre Academy where she served as both a 1st and 2nd Grade teacher as well as the lead teacher for K-5th Grades. She holds an Ohio teachers license and is the process of obtaining an Oregon teaching license.

a graduate from Central Missouri State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She has a Masters of Science in Education with a Reading Specialization from the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She holds an Oregon teaching license with specialist attachments in Reading. Mrs. Fisher comes to us with high recommendations and served two local Catholic Schools with distinction. Mrs. Fisher serves as our Religion Coordinator, helping guide our Religious program with prayer, ideas and input.
Mrs. Matthews re-joins us after being away from staff this past year. She previously served as the Kindergarten aide.
Mrs. McCarry is a graduate of San Diego State with a degree in Liberal Arts; she holds an Oregon teaching license. She brings many years of dedicated experience to her classroom and serves as the Accreditation Co-Chair with Mr. Cantu.

Mrs. Michael holds a Master of Arts degree from Pacific University in Teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UC Davis in Environmental Planning. She has both a State of Washington and State of Oregon teaching license. She taught for a number of years in a Vancouver Catholic School. She brings a strong Science background to our school.
is a graduate from Marylhurst University with a degree in Social Studies and Education. She brings a wealth of experience with her and has achieved many highlights in her distinguished career. She holds an Oregon Teaching license.
Mr. Harkness holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Portland in Political Science/History. He is currently in the PACE (Pacific Alliance of Catholic Education) Master's Program at the University of Portland. PACE is part of a national association of Catholic Universities known as the University Consortium for Catholic Education. These programs help prepare and place highly qualified individuals with co-sponsoring schools around the United States. Mr. Harkness will teach Social Studies and Religion as well as assisting with Middle School PE and serve as the 6th Grade Homeroom teacher.
Mrs. Haugsten has spent close to twenty years teaching in the Portland Archdiocese. She is an accomplished teacher that has also been assigned to teaching Middle School Literature and Grammar. She earned her degree and teaching license from Portland State is designated as a "Highly Educated Teacher" by the University as determined by the "No Child Left Behind Act".
Mrs. Smith is a graduate from the University of North Dakota where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She is a talented Science and Math teacher and has taught in the Portland Archdiocese for many years.

is a graduate from Montana State University with a degree in Art. Her love of Art is will matched by her passion to serve the children of St. Francis School. Mrs. Green holds and Oregon Teaching License.

Mrs. Hatfield earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Oregon State University and her Master's degree in Exercise Science at the University of Wisconsin. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the Physical Education program here.
Spanish
Margaret Rutledge
Margaret Rutledge
earned her degree at Linfield College in Elementary Education with minors in Spanish and Latin American Studies. She recently earned her Master's degree from Portland State University and holds a current Oregon Teaching License. Mrs. Rutledge brings a wonderful enthusiasm for not only the language but also for the cultures of Latin American and Spain.
